Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 27th July 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by K9 Greatness, including 1:1 dog training, training classes, behaviour support, discovery calls, consultations, and the CALM Training Programme.
By booking, attending, paying a deposit, making a payment, or using any K9 Greatness service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About K9 Greatness
K9 Greatness provides professional dog training and behaviour support for dog owners.
Our services are designed to help owners better understand, guide and support their dogs through clearer structure, communication, handling, routines and boundaries.
K9 Greatness is not a veterinary practice and does not provide veterinary diagnosis, medical treatment or veterinary advice. If your dog has a medical condition, injury, sudden behaviour change or suspected pain-related behaviour, you should seek advice from a qualified vet.
2. Behaviour Change Is A Partnership
Dog behaviour change requires ongoing owner participation.
K9 Greatness will train, guide, coach and support you and your dog, but long-term success depends on the owner continuing the recommended structure, routines, boundaries, exercises and handling advice after the session, class or programme has finished.
Dogs learn through repetition and consistency. If the owner does not continue the guidance given, or if the dog returns to old routines, old habits or inconsistent boundaries, old behaviour patterns may return.
No ethical dog trainer can guarantee permanent behavioural change without ongoing owner participation.
Training is a partnership between the trainer, the owner and the dog.
3. 1:1 Training
1:1 training sessions are designed to help owners better understand their dog’s behaviour, improve communication, and learn practical handling and training strategies to continue at home.
Ronnie will guide, coach and support you during the session, but a 1:1 session is not a one-off fix.
For lasting improvement, the owner must continue the recommended exercises, routines, boundaries and handling advice after the session.
If the advice is not followed consistently at home, progress may be limited and old behaviour patterns may return.
4. Training Classes
Training classes are designed to teach owners how to better understand, guide and support their dogs in a group training environment.
Ronnie will provide guidance, coaching and practical exercises during the class. However, progress depends on the owner practising and continuing the advice at home and between sessions.
Dogs do not only learn during the class itself. They learn from what is repeated in everyday life.
If the owner does not continue the exercises, routines, boundaries and handling guidance outside the class environment, progress may be limited and old behaviour patterns may return.
K9 Greatness may advise that a dog is not suitable for a group class if the dog is highly reactive, aggressive, extremely anxious, difficult to control, or likely to become overwhelmed in a group setting. In those cases, a 1:1 session or another service may be recommended.
5. CALM Training Programme
The CALM Training Programme is designed to give your dog a structured reset, build better behavioural patterns, and create a calmer, clearer way forward.
During the programme, K9 Greatness will work intensively with your dog, introduce structure, boundaries, guidance and new behavioural expectations, and coach the owner on what needs to continue once the dog returns home.
The programme does not end when your dog comes home.
Long-term success depends on the owner continuing the recommended structure, routines, boundaries, exercises and handling advice after the programme has finished.
If the dog returns home and the old routines, habits, boundaries or handling return, old behaviour patterns may also return.
K9 Greatness will do its part by training, guiding, supporting and showing the owner what needs to happen next. The owner must be prepared to continue the work at home.
The CALM Training Programme is not a promise that a dog will be permanently “fixed” regardless of what happens afterwards. Behaviour change must be maintained through consistent owner participation.
6. Results And Guarantees
K9 Greatness aims to provide high-quality training, behaviour support and owner coaching.
However, dogs are living animals and behaviour is influenced by many factors, including environment, health, owner consistency, household routines, stress levels, previous experiences, genetics and ongoing handling.
For this reason, K9 Greatness cannot guarantee specific results, permanent results, or that a dog will never display unwanted behaviour again.
Any progress achieved through training must be maintained by the owner after the service has been delivered.
Where a specific written guarantee, offer or promise is made for a particular service, that guarantee only applies according to the exact wording and conditions stated at the time of booking.
7. Owner Responsibilities
The owner agrees to:
Provide accurate and honest information about the dog’s behaviour, history, health, bite history, reactivity, aggression, fears and known triggers.
Tell K9 Greatness about any medical issues, injuries, medication, pain concerns or veterinary advice that may affect the dog’s behaviour or ability to train.
Follow the guidance, handling advice, routines, boundaries and exercises provided.
Continue the recommended training at home and between sessions.
Ensure the dog is wearing suitable equipment and is safely controlled before, during and after training.
Inform K9 Greatness if the dog’s behaviour changes or if there are any safety concerns.
Take responsibility for the dog outside of sessions, classes or agreed K9 Greatness care.
The owner remains responsible for their dog’s behaviour, welfare and safety outside of the agreed training service.
8. Safety And Welfare
The welfare of the dog, owner, trainer and public is important.
K9 Greatness reserves the right to stop, pause, rearrange, refuse or end a session, class or programme if Ronnie believes there is a safety concern, welfare concern, undisclosed behaviour issue, unsuitable environment, or risk to people, dogs or property.
Owners must not knowingly place Ronnie, another person, another dog, or the public at risk by failing to disclose relevant behaviour or safety information.
If a dog is considered unsuitable for a particular service, K9 Greatness may recommend a different service or decline to proceed.
9. Bookings, Deposits And Payments
Bookings may require a deposit or payment to secure the appointment, class place or programme space.
A booking is not confirmed until the required deposit or payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Deposits are used to reserve time, availability and resources for your booking.
Where a remaining balance is due, this must be paid by the agreed deadline or payment method stated at the time of booking.
For 1:1 training, the deposit paid at the time of booking secures your appointment. The remaining balance is due after your session and can be paid by cash or contactless card, unless otherwise agreed.
For training classes, payment terms will be shown at the time of booking.
For the CALM Training Programme, payment terms, deposits, balances and any agreed payment plan must be confirmed before the programme begins.
Payment plans are only available where agreed in advance and in writing.
10. Cancellations, Rearrangements And Missed Appointments
If you need to cancel or rearrange a booking, you must contact K9 Greatness as soon as possible.
Where a client cancels at short notice, fails to attend, or is not available at the agreed time, K9 Greatness may retain some or all of the deposit or payment to reflect the time reserved, preparation, administration, loss of booking opportunity and any reasonable costs already incurred.
Where possible, K9 Greatness may offer to rearrange a booking, but this is not guaranteed and will depend on availability.
Repeated cancellations, missed sessions or failure to follow agreed arrangements may result in K9 Greatness declining to continue the service.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.
11. Client Right To Cancel
Where you have a legal right to cancel a booking, K9 Greatness will honour that right.
If you ask K9 Greatness to begin providing services within any applicable cancellation period, you may be required to confirm that you want the service to begin and that you understand you may have to pay for services already provided.
If a service has already been fully performed with your agreement, your cancellation rights may be affected.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or reduce your legal rights.
12. Behaviour, Aggression And Bite History
Owners must disclose any known history of biting, aggression, reactivity, guarding, chasing, fear-based behaviour, escape behaviour, or any other issue that may affect safety.
Failure to disclose important information may result in the service being stopped, rearranged or cancelled.
K9 Greatness may require additional safety measures, different equipment, a different location, or a different training approach depending on the dog’s behaviour.
The owner remains responsible for any damage, injury or loss caused by their dog, except where caused by proven negligence by K9 Greatness.
13. Health, Vaccinations And Fitness To Train
Owners must ensure their dog is fit and well enough to take part in training.
K9 Greatness must be informed of any illness, injury, medication, pain concern, veterinary restriction, contagious condition or recent surgery before training takes place.
K9 Greatness may refuse or rearrange training if there is a concern about the dog’s health, welfare or suitability to train.
For group classes or environments involving other dogs, owners may be required to confirm that their dog is appropriately vaccinated or otherwise protected in line with veterinary advice.
14. Equipment
Owners are responsible for providing suitable collars, leads, harnesses, muzzles, crates or other equipment where required.
K9 Greatness may recommend changes to equipment for safety, welfare or training reasons.
Owners must not use equipment in a way that puts the dog, owner, trainer, other dogs or the public at risk.
15. Photos, Videos And Media
K9 Greatness may take photos or videos during training for progress updates, education, marketing, social media or website content.
If you do not want your dog, yourself or your property to appear in photos or videos used publicly, you must tell K9 Greatness in writing.
K9 Greatness will not knowingly publish sensitive personal information without permission.
16. Communication And Aftercare
K9 Greatness may provide aftercare guidance, notes, videos, WhatsApp support, follow-up advice or other support depending on the service booked.
The level of aftercare included will depend on the service purchased and what has been agreed in writing.
Aftercare is designed to support the owner in continuing the training, but it does not replace the owner’s responsibility to apply the guidance consistently at home.
17. Limitation Of Liability
K9 Greatness will provide services with reasonable care and skill.
However, K9 Greatness is not responsible for lack of progress, regression, recurring behaviour or unwanted behaviour where guidance has not been followed, information has been withheld, the owner has not continued the training, or the dog has returned to old routines or inconsistent handling.
K9 Greatness is not liable for any indirect loss, loss of enjoyment, emotional distress, loss of earnings, or other consequential loss arising from dog behaviour or failure to follow training guidance.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
18. Changes To Services
K9 Greatness may update, change, pause or withdraw services, pricing, availability, programme structure or booking requirements at any time.
Any changes that affect an existing confirmed booking will be discussed with the client where reasonably possible.
19. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any part of the service, please contact K9 Greatness as soon as possible so the issue can be discussed.
Complaints should be made in writing to:
K9 Greatness will aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe.
