I’m Ronnie, a professional dog behaviourist based in Horley, working with dog owners across Surrey and Sussex who are facing serious behavioural challenges.

I have spent years working with primitive breeds. My favourite the Thai Ridgeback, is a breed I’ve owned and trained to a high level for the last three years. I was always told I wouldn’t get my Thai Ridgebacks to be completely off lead. I have managed to do exactly that. Not only with my own dogs but, with clients dogs also.

A primitive breed dog retains many original traits from ancient times, with a history of evolution alongside humans. These breeds often exhibit high intelligence, strong instincts, and unique physical characteristics. Examples include the Basenji, Akita, and Thai Ridgeback.

Since 2010, I have worked with dogs in a variety of professional capacities.
I began volunteering within a local animal shelter, gaining hands-on experience rehabilitating dogs with complex behavioural histories.
From there, I worked in a dog rescue environment, handling dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments.
Following this, I spent nearly two years working with wolves in captivity — studying behavioural patterns, body language and pack dynamics in depth.
This experience provided a unique understanding of instinct, communication and behavioural structure that continues to inform my work today.
My knowledge is practical and experience-led — not theory alone.
